Customer Returns To Pay Restaurant Invoice After London Terror Attack: ‘These People Should Not Triumph’

Richard Angell told Buzzfeed News  he was in Kitchen and Arabica Bar when he heard gunfire and saw people that were injured running .  

“We had been sitting in the restaurant in the table nearest the door, which can be very dreadful to consider,” he informed Buzzfeed.   “Suddenly we know safety stating lock the door and duck and cover. People jumped into the ground, knocking tables over”  

Attackers rammed pedestrians on London Bridge on Saturday using a van evening before launching frenzied stabbings in nearby Borough Market. The three assailants were shot dead by authorities.  

Twenty-one of the 48 people remained in critical condition late Sunday.

Angell, who is the director of think tank Progress, said he wanted to return to the restaurant to pay his bill and to thank the team for looking out to the restaurant patrons.  

“These folks shouldn’t win,” Angell told Buzzfeed News. “This really is the best city in the world and Borough Market is one of my favourite bits of the best city in the world. I am not going to allow the barbaric acts of cowardly people minimize that.”

The State has claimed responsibility for the attack.
