Pitcher Called For Balk

Strong winds can easily impact a baseball game, but that involves a fly ball.

During Sunday’s Triple-A game Involving the Salt Lake Bees and Omaha Storm Chaserswinds in Utah were too much for Salt Lake starter Troy Scribner to Manage.

A gust that was specially severe literally pushed at Scribner off the mound, causing a balk.

That’s a new one.

The balk advanced a runner but Scribner was able to pitch out of the jam without allowing a run.

Salt Lake would win, 5-2.
